Jan Silver Maguire brings decades of experience to her career as a freelance marketing communications and public relations copywriter. Since launching her company in 2001, she has written a broad spectrum of projects - including more than 60 feature articles - for diverse clients in the private, public and non-profit sectors.
Prior to launching Silver Ink Communications, Jan served as an outreach coordinator and clinician for the Chicago-based Cancer Wellness Center after obtaining a master’s in social work at Loyola University. In addition to writing and producing the Center’s publications, she created and presented educational seminars to healthcare providers and civic organizations.
Before that, Jan spent 15+ successful years working in television production and development in Los Angeles and Chicago, and on location in New York City, Rome and Helsinki. A native of Chicago, she received her undergraduate degree in communications from the University of Texas in Austin. Jan is an emeritus member of the Writers Guild of America West and was recently nominated one of AWAI’s (American Writers & Artists, Inc.) B2B Rising Stars.
